How Therapy Can Help

Parenting or work stress, juggling multiple demands, feeling isolated or finding daily life overwhelming or hard to find pleasure in can all be indicators of your life feeling out of balance. This may be showing up in a variety of ways including high stress, low life force energy, difficulty with interpersonal relationships, loneliness, angry outbursts, lack of emotional regulation and low resilience to stress. If this sounds like you, finding some extra support can make a profound difference. It can be difficult to find the words to share with those around you, or you might be reluctant to try, for fear of worrying others or not feeling understood. Talking to someone who isn’t involved in your immediate situation can give you new insights, understanding and strategies. I hope to help you feel heard and understood and offer myself as a compassionate witness and guide to help you navigate through difficult times.

Common Queries

How much does it cost?

Therapy sessions cost £45 - £60 on a self assessed sliding scale for an hour.
Children and young people's sessions cost £40 - £50 on a parental self assessed sliding scale.

How do you work remotely?

I will send you a secure Zoom link on the day of the session which will bring you to therapy online. There may inevitably be technical or connectivity problems from time to time and we will agree a contingency plan for this.

How many therapy sessions will I need?

You will have a sense of how the therapy is working for you within 6 sessions. I do both short and long term therapy depending on your needs. We will review the process at regular intervals to check you are finding it helpful. If you no longer want therapy, I ask that you let me know so we can reflect on this and acknowledge the psychological work you've done before you leave.

How do I know you are a safe practitioner?

I am committed to providing safe, ethical therapy and adhere to the BACP's ethical guidelines. I have monthly supervision where I explore and am accountable for my practise. I am also an Accredited Member of the BACP which is a quality status for experienced practitioners who can demonstrate high standards of competent and ethical practice.
